Our clients do not need our help creating wealth. In fact, virtually all of them had accomplished that well before we met. Most of them are more interested in strategies to protect what they have earned, and a sophisticated few wish to explore relatively complex investment strategies. As lifelong investment professionals, we have the knowledge, experience and resources to support them in those efforts. That alone, however, would be a poor measure of our success.
We prefer to measure success in terms of family harmony and the happiness and well-being of each family member.
We came to that conclusion because we have worked for many years with families who created multigenerational wealth and we have yet to come across one that cares more about their money than their family. So, we focus on the complex issues that beset affluent families. We bring in experts on tax, trust and estate, and family governance issues. We can also assist with a myriad of lifestyle advisory issues such as healthcare and household staffing.

Robert joined Morgan Stanley in 2007 from Bear, Stearns & Company where he was an Associate Director in Private Client Services. He now co-leads a team of professionals focused on Individuals, Foundations, Endowments, Hedge Funds, and Middle Market Institutions.
After graduating from business school, Robert began a 17-year career as a portfolio manager. Initially, he worked for a large mutual fund investing in U.S. equities. In 1987, he founded a registered investment advisory firm named EastWest Capital Management and the hedge fund EastWest Partners, L.P. Both these entities concentrated on diversifying client assets globally with a strong emphasis on emerging markets.
Robert graduated in 1979 from Stanford University with a degree in International Relations. After working three years as an investment banker, he attended Harvard Business School and graduated in 1984. Robert has three daughters.

Zach joined Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in 2013 after graduating from business school. Zach works with clients assessing their overall wealth needs and objectives, focusing on translating clients’ circumstances to appropriate strategic and tactical asset allocation positioning. Zach is also responsible for wealth planning and needs forecasting for clients by leveraging in-house quantitative modeling tools and risk simulations.
He previously worked within Morgan Stanley as a Portfolio Management Associate, helping to grow and run the team’s equity trading and research desks for high-touch trading clients. He also supported the team's PM, helping manage several discretionary portfolio strategies for clients.
Zach earned his BS in Economics from Bucknell University, and graduated from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business in 2013. He currently lives in Manhattan with his fiancée.

Tricia joined Morgan Stanley’s Private Wealth Management (PWM) Los Angeles in 1999 and moved to the New York PWM office in 2001. She brings almost two decades of financial industry experience in virtually all areas of client management. Previously, Tricia worked at Lehman Brothers’ Private Investment Management division, as well as at Merrill Lynch’s Private Banking Group. She plays an essential role in managing daily activities of the team, and supports all sales and trading for our high net worth clientele. Tricia holds Series 7, 63 and 65 FINRA registrations and is an Assistant Vice President of the firm. She is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College with a B.S. in Business Management, and is currently working towards her Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification. Tricia has volunteered with Student Sponsor Partners and Young Autism Program. She also enjoys spending time outside the office running, swimming and travelling.
Peter joined Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management in 2013. Previously he worked at Barclays Bank in Structured Product distribution. He manages all sales and trading activity for the business in addition to other client services. Peter holds Series 7 and 63 licenses. He is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University with a B.A. in Economics. In his spare time, Peter enjoys playing tennis and the saxophone. He has volunteered in the past for Street Squash, a Harlem based non-profit that promotes academic tutoring and squash instruction.
