Marvin McIntyre, Founding Partner of the Capitol Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, is a graduate of the Citadel, and following his service in Vietnam joined Mason and Co. in 1968, the predecessor firm to Legg Mason, as a financial advisor. In 1991, Mr. McIntyre began assembling a highly regarded team of professionals which now includes a CFA, CIMA®, and a CFP®, as part of his vision to build a practice able to effectively serve the complex needs of high net worth families, institutions and corporations. Through corporate acquisitions the team is known as the Capitol Wealth Management Group at Morgan Stanley*.
Mr. McIntyre is a frequent guest on local media outlets and has appeared on national networks such as CNBC, and MSNBC. Featured in the book, The Winners Circle, Marvin McIntyre has been on the Barron’s list of Top 100 Advisors since its inception in 2002. He was ranked as the #3 advisor in the country in 2008, and is currently ranked as a top advisor in the Washington, DC area for 2017 . His charitable involvements are numerous, most notably including his long term association and service with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Shady Grove Hospital Foundation, and Suburban Hospital. In his outside pursuits Mr. McIntyre recently authored a well-received fiction novel.
