We named our team the Abacus Group for two reasons. First, an abacus is a simple device made of beads and string that is capable of performing very complex calculations. Second, it has endured for millennia and is still in use today. That’s what we are trying to do for our clients. We make the complex simple, and we work to help them build something that endures.

Our approach spans the four pillars of wealth management–assets, risk, liability and lifestyle. In many cases, we look to help them make informed decisions about the first three, so they have better choices when it comes to the fourth.

We serve as speed-dial advisors for our clients, eager to help them sort through any financial matter or help in any other way we can.

  • When appropriate for our clients’ goals and risk tolerances, we take full advantage of Morgan Stanley’s extensive alternative platform to provide clients with access to unique investment opportunities.
  • The Chartered Financial Analysts on our team generate and monitor total net worth statements for each client, inclusive of all their assets and liabilities, whether held at Morgan Stanley or elsewhere.
  • Combining our own network with Morgan Stanley, resources we provide access to the full complement of resources you would expect from an elite family office.
  • We hold regular events to inform, entertain and enlighten our client families. We believe that introducing our clients to each other is one of the most beneficial services we provide.
